Got back from Nodnol and really wanted to rant about trains. Instead, I shall direct you to the master (no specific entry... just search for the word Virgin), and go and email The Observer about how much I love my car. Hmm... overcrowded (and delayed) train full of pissed off people listening to a screaming kid and a middle-aged guy singing along to his personal stereo, versus the tranquility of the M6 Toll? It seemed like such a good idea at the time.

Lomo makes you happy

I have just found a wonderful photoblog called Intransient, featuring a lovely lomo project called Anything and Everything. Inspiring stuff.

Selling martians

I heard a woman at work today discussing a friend who is looking for someone to accompany her to a wedding. Her ex will be there and he's now happily married, so she doesn't want to arrive alone and be subjected to the inevitable questions and smugness. Her friends are suggesting she hire a male escort, as long as they can hold auditions... and claim their finder's fee (as it were) at the end of the night. Perhaps they should hurry down to River Island in the Trafford Centre who appear to have devoted their entire mezannine level to selling men. Or have I misunderstood?

Silliness

In a day of doom and gloom, it was nice to hear more about Batman at Buckingham Palace. I know he had a serious message, but a spot of silliness always does the world a bit of good. And no one would have heard of Fathers 4 Justice if they hadn't started dressing up as superheroes and doing daft things.

Remembering

I saw the date and it made me think back three years. Nothing more to say... just thinking.

Common courtesy

There comes a time in every car's life when it knows its days are numbered. If my car could see me now - enjoying a younger and better equipped replacement while it's enduring a short stint at the accident repair centre - it'd realise that time has come. Being ousted by a courtesy car while you have your arse repaired is one thing... being outclassed by a basic Corsa is quite another. Perhaps I should treat it to a tacky adornment for its final stint under my ownership. I refuse to buy fluffy dice as they will obstruct my view and still don't fit into the 'so bad it's good' category, but a Churchill nodding dog would be quite special indeed. You know you want me to.

Village life

Just returned from a weekend away. Not in London this time, but in a pretty part of rural Leicestershire. We pottered round some villages, went to a fete, drank at the local and even ventured as far as Leamington Spa for an afternoon of relaxation. Great to be back in Manchester though... it's great to try out village life for a weekend but I don't think I could cope with it permanently.

Welcome Home Adrian

Thought I'd try and make this place look a bit more like sevitz.com so that you don't miss the views quite as much. Unfortunately, none of my ladies are real.
